ARC Raiders Emperor: How to Reach the Best Loot Rooms

ARC Raiders Emperor: How to Reach the Best Loot Rooms

The Emperor on Pendola Pass is no longer a location where a quick entrance sweep offers the best value. Since Update 2.3.0, containers near the entrance provide lower-tier rewards, while better loot opportunities are concentrated deeper inside. Players looking for valuable ARC Raiders Items should adjust their approach: prepare for a full run, learn the room connections, and save enough resources for the return journey.

Start With a Loadout Built for the Entire Run

Before entering the Emperor, think beyond the cost of opening the dungeon. A successful run requires enough equipment to handle hazards, possible ARC encounters, and other Raiders.

A practical loadout should include:

  • Healing and shield recovery: Keep enough supplies to recover from mistakes and unexpected fights.
  • Movement equipment: A Snap Hook or Grappling Hook can make vertical sections easier to navigate.
  • Combat options: Bring a weapon suitable for dealing with ARC enemies, especially if you need to clear a path.
  • Free inventory space: Leave room for the higher-tier rewards found deeper inside.

Avoid filling your backpack with unnecessary equipment before entering. The deeper rooms are now the main reason to complete the route, so inventory space has real value.

Follow the Route Instead of Rushing Containers

The opening section is still worth checking, but it should not become your main destination. Search containers that are directly along your path, collect useful supplies, and keep moving toward the interior.

The Emperor’s room connections can vary between runs, so memorising one fixed sequence is not a reliable strategy. Pay attention to the doors and the direction they lead. White-lit doors generally take you farther into the dungeon, while yellow-lit doors can lead back toward earlier sections.

Some rooms also contain moving platforms, electrical hazards, lasers, or crushing machinery. Take a moment to identify the hazard before crossing. Rushing through an unfamiliar room can cost more healing and equipment than the loot is worth.

The important thing is to maintain forward progress. Spending too long searching every early container can leave you short on time and supplies when you reach the more valuable sections.

Make the Grand Loot Room Your Main Objective

The deeper rooms are where the updated loot distribution becomes more relevant. The Grand Loot Room should be your primary destination if you are committing an Emperor Gateway Conduit to the run.

Once you reach the final chamber, do not immediately focus on opening every container. First, check the surrounding area for threats and identify a safe position. ARC enemies can make an otherwise successful run dangerous, especially when players become distracted by the loot.

Search the available containers and check the yellow wall nodes for additional payloads. Emperor Modulators and other valuable components are among the rewards players may be looking for here, but no individual container guarantees a specific item.

If an Emperor Modulator is your main objective, place it in your Safe Pocket as soon as possible when eligible. Protecting a key progression item is more important than carrying another optional piece of loot.

Know When to Leave

Reaching the final room does not mean the run is complete. You still need to extract with your rewards.

Before leaving, review your backpack and prioritise items that support your current progression. Keep important upgrade materials and valuable components, then consider dropping low-priority duplicates if you need space.

Do not spend too much time rearranging your inventory in an exposed area. Other Raiders may also be interested in the final chamber, and the return route can become dangerous if you stay longer than necessary.

A good extraction decision depends on three things: how valuable your current haul is, how much healing remains, and how safely you can reach the exit. If you already have the component you came for, taking unnecessary risks for another container may not be worthwhile.

Get More Value From Every Emperor Run

The biggest mistake after Update 2.3.0 is treating the Emperor like a quick loot stop. Its updated distribution rewards players who prepare properly, understand the room transitions, and reach the deeper containers without exhausting their supplies.

Keep your loadout affordable, prioritise the items you actually need, and measure success by what you successfully extract rather than how many containers you open. For players who want to spend less time repeating preparation and progression tasks, ARC Raiders Boosting can also be considered as an alternative, leaving more time to focus on challenging raids and valuable loot runs.
